mask on, mask off

I sticked my head out to show my mother my fully masked face, feeling proud that I actually made an effort to moisturize my dry skin.However that wide cheeky grin faded almost immediately when my mum asked " girl,did you cleanse your face first before putting the mask on?". Standing there at the door feeling helpless with my 'oh NO!' face, I laughed at my stupidity or rather my lack of knowledge on beauty and retreated back to my room.

But its not such a big deal to have put the mask on before cleansing my face, is it?
someone, please enlighten me.

Its still on my face and I am not even sure how long its suppose to stay there..
LOL..

I admit, I am clueless when it comes to issues on make up or anything to do with beauty for that matter.

HAHA...

but I think it's time I learn the basics at least.

If not I really cmi lor.

oh oh, I just took the mask off, so breezy and fresh I am.
and nothing happened!!! my face is still intact and there are no additional blemishes or pimples...all is good..phew!

Camp 5

I worked in the rock climbing gym, Camp 5 at 1u for about half a year when i was 19. Did not work as a marshal but worked in the cafe with my Besties, Lu xanne and Dixynn and also many other DJ friends. We always complained among ourselves whenever people ordered burgers, such a hassle to cook the meat.haha...but thinking back now, those were good times!

I miss climbing...I miss taking a taxi with my friends all the way to Summit before Camp 5 came about........awww..I love to reminisce..

So anyway,
These pictures below were taken back around the year 2006 but i've just only seen them..
We worked 17 to 18 hours that day for Camp 5's anniversary party. Just look at the amount of food that we had to prepare.....

Thats Gifford, the culinary student(who i think is probably a graduated chef by now) and Lydia Kwan, one year my junior from DJ.

from 7 am to 3 am we stayed to prepare all of that and then to clean up after everyone!

We turned the locker room into our kitchen for the day.

And thats Michelle(the one with the short hair),the head of the cafe, feeling wobbly and tired after having too many tequila shots..Why Dixynn look so happy?haha...

lights out, fan and everything else too

Had buffet yesterday at Park royal with my family and Ivan. Was so happy that they had unlimited Haagen Daaz ice cream.

Had a 1 hour bio lecture this morning at 10 am.However, I was 45 minutes late..you do the math.

Went for a movie with Ivan and 4 other of my uni friends.
Marley and me, a show which i can relate to..made me think of my dog so much.I really miss having her around.I couldn't help but cry buckets..I wasn't the only one.

Ivan fell asleep at my place and by the time he got up, it was 8 pm. We wanted to be home for earth hour so we rushed out to get mcd's and came home just in time.
We ate while seated on the hammock outside my house...
In my neighborhood, you'll see neighbors gathered together outside the house drinking beer or wine,children cycling in the wee hours of the morning, and many people taking midnight strolls just to get some fresh air. So it was kinda weird eating there with so many people passing by but fun to just do it anyway.
Then it was our turn to walk around..went to kepoh to see who offed their lights and who didn't.
surprisingly, quite a number of people did..

Alritey..i got to go get some sleep now.
Long day tomorrow..back to reality..my work is piled up at the corner, waiting for me. sob

Time waits for no man

I am exhausted,physically but mostly mentally.
2 hours of doing questions,1 hour of lecture and 3 hours of lab all in a row is beyond tiring.
Was planning to just rest for 5 minutes but ended up snoring for 2 hours.aiyoh..now I don't have enough time to finish up my work!!now I got to burn my midnight oil..hahhhhhh...
if it wasn't for God, family support, love and ice cream, I can easily go banana's...haha..

See..even with the lack of time I am here blogging......a procrastinator I am.
Oh and according to my bro, Watchmen was good, although you will only understand the movie with lots of deep thinking and imagination..Just the way I like it, compulsive thinker I am.
Hopefully I can slot in some time for movies, I am in need of unwinding self from tiring weekdays.muahaha..

Ok..time to get back to my electron configurations and partial orbital diagrams..pffftt.....

Mugshot called again today, but I decided to not go for it..yet again..haha..always don't know if im making the right choice..but oh well........
just takda confidence, therefore I feel i'm not cut out for it...
laugh too much and feel too nervous whenever i'm asked to act..HaH
and probably also because there is a red patch or scar near my eye(caused by pimple)which i'm praying will fade away soon..

Oh oh..and my Experiment today was to sniff different types of food containing different types of fat and oil and identify them..We also had to determine the amount of fat or oil in those food products! now I know what to eat and what not to eat..HAHA
however I came home feeling nauseous because of all the smelling..
Actually I think some of the smell is still lingering inside my nose..pfft..

I think thats enough of random for today..

I feel so terrible for being angry the other day..

Part of your world

For two hours I was taken away from the reality of life to a magical world where princesses and princes would sing and dance and live happily ever after.
I love classic Disney cartoons, the music, the stories and the happy endings.
I enjoyed the performance, it was great although I wouldn't consider it the best show ever,
but it brought back many lovely memories..=)

I was a little disappointed with the Beauty and the Beast part of the show because the Beast never showed up and she never danced with her prince,except in the finale...sob

Managed to take some really clear pictures and many not so clear ones..but will post them up anyway.hah..

And here is another thing to be happy about!!!!
My Biology Experiment was a success!!!
Everyone was having such a hard time finding one..
I was so frustrated and angry and I was on the verge of giving up..
I decided to look through the microscope one last time, scanning every little millimeter of the slide and all of a sudden i saw a little tiny speck that looked like a slipper!
I shouted for my lab partner to look, we magnified the microscope and there it was.....
our little fat and cute Paramecium!!!
We had to keep adjusting the microscope to chase that little prokaryote because it kept swimming away..but we managed to draw and hand in our lab report just on time. YAY

Oh and I managed also to take a picture of it...

Through the eyes of a microscope...u can actually see the cilia at the side and the cell membrane and the contractile vacuoles and the oral groove and the food vacuoles!!
so exciting!!!so amazing!!

I'm back!

sorry for the lack of updates ya'll!! It has been a busy week..infact, its gonna be many more busy weeks but i'm getting more comfortable with the stress and handling it well.haha..
I don't exactly have any stories or interesting stuff to talk about at the moment because really my life just revolves around uni, home and work..however, I may have something to talk about this weekend..lol..well you see, I'm really excited on weekends and this weekend, especially much..becauseee............................I will be going to watch Disney on ice!! Wheeee...
let me know if you're going too ok?! hah..

on a random note,
I am still Matt Giraud's number 1 fan..he made the song 'so small' sound so dreamy..mmm mmmm...
I really hope he makes it to the finals





The design of this house is two thumbs and two toes up..its got the balinese, cottage like, woody,cosy feel which I simply love! Will definitely be going there more often now..lol!

oh and did you know that you are literally consuming a big chunk of fat when eating chocolate?!
chocolates are made out of small fat crystals all bonded together..
small fat crystals are harder fats than normal fats,have a smooth,fine texture and appears to be less oily..
So now we know.......my goodness....
I super love what i'm studying! +)

second and third chances

with the quizzes and online tests and my 1300 word essay for Bio and Assignment for food science,
my march and April are definitely swamped but its a definite must that I go see Disney on Ice!!
Its probably one of the things that will help reduce some of my stress and pressure
Life doesn't feel simple anymore...
but I must be tough!!!
and like they say, as the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!
so that is just what i'll do!!!

I just needed that little bit of self motivation...

moving on...

I think finding out the truth hurts,
but it doesn't hurt as much as finding out the truth when you were told a lie..
afterall,
honesty is the best policy..

eat,drink and dream books

I carry books for a workout on a daily basis,
The books are so heavy and large in terms of its width and length that you are bound to go home with either bruises or paper cuts - true story,not exaggerated

Other than that, Uni has been ok so far except for the fast pace lectures
Its like what took us 2 weeks to learn in Mufy is simply explained here in an hour..
I suppose we are expected to go home and read up on our own.

i'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed,pray and try my best

I shouldn't be freaking out now, its only the first sem of my first year...hmmmm


there are 3 more from where that came from..

all this complaining is making me hungry..
