sugar highMy weekend was hectic! I didn't have any time to study for my test but what to do, compelled to do it anyway. I surrounded myself with my notes thinking that that would do the trick..BUT....................... The questions were so confusing and with only 35 minutes given, I did nothing else but panic. So difficult!!argh....... I am so thankful I didn't fail! I can't wait for all my assignments to be handed in and can't wait for all the lab classes to end. I do enjoy my lab classes but seriously the writing of the lab reports all the time is stressful!! gahhh.. truthfully, I rather spend my time studying!! And my exam time table has just been released. Why must they put all my papers so late in June?! My final paper will be on the 26th of June and the 2nd semester begins on the 17th of July. Meaning that my break will only be slightly more than 2 weeks! HOW CAN!? Oh well... On a happier note, Today we made fondant and hard candy in our food science lab class. My gosh, we kept going around tasting all the different types of sweets and we also observed them under the microscope. hahaa..so fun!!! And on Saturday, went for dinner to celebrate Ivan's grandfathers birthday. the cake looked really pretty tagged on facebook by Emily. Dynamitez performance for shell at pyramid I think. They haven't paid us till this day! I miss cheering and making money!hahahaa... alritey gotta finish up my assignments! listening to David Archuleta's song, touch my hands
ploop ploopI have 20 mcq's and 10 subjective questions to answer in 35 minutes. And we are not allowed to click back on the previous question once that question is answered. about 10 chapters to study, but loads of assignments to finish. No time also must make time, somehow. maybe I should play less of Restaurant City on facebook. Ya, maybe.... since this test is 10% out of my total 100%, I will, can and must ace it! Please?? thank You. Amen. oh and my mummy cooked Wagyu beef today.muahaha...I LOVE IT! and Matt G. is in the top 5! LOVE IT too! muahaha
ba ba black sheepI have spent countless of hours scrolling through hundreds of e-books but I don't seem to be able to find any relevant information. This is frustrating.
go fight winI am loving the song ' Falling slowly' by Glen Hansard. My musically inclined brother made me harmonize that song with him. My fingers feel distorted when I play the B minor note on the piano. Its aching now.haha... I am craving for karaoke sessions.. Its been awhile... the Mak siblings
Chris turns 22First of all, HAPPY 22nd Birthday to my best friends long time boyfriend, Christopher Wong! =) As much as you try to deny it, you are indeed old. We were at Brussels, Jaya One last night. The beer was good.We had this one called the forbidden fruit. Awesome i tell you! By far the tastiest beer I have ever had. It felt good hanging out with some of my old friends again. I'll let the pictures do the talking now. Hoegaarden, Belgian beer. In my opinion, this one tasted abit like green tea.haha Chris with his satisfied face. Meng yee, Chee Keong and happy Chris Sze ming or known to me as brother bulat, John-son Oei aka as horse, and Joshua aka as Joshie Thats Hannah beside me and we somehow couldn't take nice pictures together yesterday.haha.. The rest of the people Cynthia was late for the cake cutting ceremony!but I assume she has been completely forgiven.HAHa Hoegaarden's forbidden fruit..mmm mmmm leffe Its been hot again these few days. Even my trusty aircond could do me no justice.Gah! Oh but i think i am hearing thunder! yay! and and... thank you to the girl who was named after a flower. Glad to have known you =) Just had to throw this in!hehee
Smile before you openA friend once wrote, " To a special character, who stumbled by, sprinkling laughter, and so much more, and whom shall never be let lost in life." " We'll always be there for you, as friends you can count on.... That is, if you can count!!" I finally can count now, but counting is meaningless without friends like all of you. I wish things could go back to the way they were before life got complicated. my priceless possessions To those who have seen me at my down-est and my happiest, To those who struggled with me through stormy and dark nights, To those who laughed and cried with me, To those who never gave up on me, Thank you so very much for being a good friend. You left footprints in my heart. ( You guys know who you are)
Love always, Adrienna Mak
Blue houseFaisal just tagged this picture of me on facebook. It was SMKDJ's sports day, year 2004.HAhhaHaha.. my gooodnessssssssssssss........... what?!?back then having no fringe and middle parting was the in and happening thing lor.LOL..
hop scotchHeaded down to the hawker stalls outside FGA KL for dinner. Had awesomemazing lamb, fried chicken wings and har mee! That old church building sure reminds me of my FGA friends who also happen to be my kindergarden and primary school friends. Miss you guys! back when I was only 5 years of age at Noah's ark kindergarden The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of kindergarden is Brenda. She was the first person that talked to me and first person who saw me crying while clinging on to my mothers leg, begging her to bring me home.HAHa..We use to exchange lots and lots of stickers and went to each others houses so often i pity our mothers for having to drive us. haha..Bren, thanks for being my first best friend! Standard 6 at Sri Sempurna, a christian school. The best thing about my primary school was having two break periods. One for 30 minutes and the other for an hour. My goodness, how we would play water and fire( the catching game), badminton, basketball, football, four square, dodge ball, volleyball, netball, skipping rope, high jump, hop scotch, ping pong and batu seremban. GOOOD FUN i tell you!! *good sigh*
I remember how my teacher sometimes made us memorize a whole chapter of a book in the bible before letting us go for our break. I'm really glad she did because till this day, I can still recite Psalms 91. hhaha..good verse btw.
p.s shopping today with my mother was a success.woohooo...
happy happy joy joy
No differenceWith not even 1/4 of my holiday wishes fulfilled I am definitely not in the mood to do any of my work. gah.. I dislike this feeling. What should I do?
purposeI was flipping through today's newspaper and saw an advertisement by Maybank. I liked everything about it but what caught my attention was the effect of the setting sun, how the light effects the colours of the surrounding greeneries. So beautiful. It just got me thinking about how magnificent this ball of light or more specifically this gigantic star really is. Without it, there would be no colour, no beauty, no life. I was inspired to draw a little something of what light means to me. Of what represents light in my life.....Him.
Good FridayMy head is as heavy as a canon ball and probably as hot as the base of an iron. (exaggerated on the iron part) My heart is pulsating at 110 beats per minute. I think i'm ill. Today, although I felt awfully tired and weak, I had to drag myself to uni for my 3 hour bio lab session which i dread. So i hurriedly packed my 3/4 finished biology and chemistry reports and hoped that today will end in a jiffy. However, guess what happened?!!?! - The scenario was that I have another bio lab report and only have a limited time of 3 hours to finish it..... and all of a sudden, the emergency siren went off. The pre-recorded tape was playing continuously, asking everyone to evacuate the buildings. We obviously had to drop whatever we were doing and walk 7 flights of stairs down. We were all still clad in our lab coats and so we looked like flocks of sheep walking towards the open field where the sun shone ever so brightly. It was extremely hot and with the entire university population packed together like sardins in a can, I really felt like a living zombie. So basically, almost 30 to 45 minutes of precious time that could be well spent on my report was wasted!! We rushed back to the lab and my lecturer said that the due time is unchanged. With only one hour left and so many questions unanswered and the freaking karyotype that we had to assemble still left unassembled, I trembled. If only i could just burst out crying and beg for mercy but before I could, he suddenly said we could pass it up at the end of the day. So I stayed back an extra 2 hours to finish up on both my chem and bio and skipped my other two lectures. Went home immediately, ate and slept although I was slightly worried about the fact that heartburn may occur when you sleep straight after eating. I actually contemplated sleeping but in the end gave up and slept like a baby.LOL.. Feeling slightly better now but should probably get back to sleep again soon. Oh btw, Its good friday today! Its been a really rough month for me but I'm still able to hang on because of You! truly, I am nothing without You. Thank You for Your unconditional sacrifice! I love you always and forever. this song is taken from Calvary church's easter presentation probably about 9 years ago but it still touches me everytime i hear or sing it. God is too wise to be mistaken, God is too good to be unkind, When you don't understand, When you can't see His plan, When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart.
complete randomness (once again)Had delicious Japanese bbq buffet at Daidomon restaurant on Sunday with my family and Ivan..mmmm..no pictures though.too lazy for picture taking.hah.. Anyways, That long awaited 1 week holiday is coming. However, the only good part of the holiday is that I don't have to wake up early for uni.I've got three assignments due and a mid sem test after next week.Sigh... oh and its the month of many birthdays!
